For instance, phosphating treatment can form a phosphating film with high hardness on the surface of the steel wire. This phosphating film not only enhances the hardness of the steel wire surface but also improves the friction performance of the steel wire rope and reduces wear. In some application scenarios with frequent friction, such as elevators and cranes, the wear rate of steel wire ropes that have undergone phosphating treatment is significantly reduced compared to those that have not, and their service life can be extended by 2 to 3 times. Improving lubrication performance: Certain surface treatment processes can endow the surface of steel wire ropes with better lubrication performance, reducing friction between steel wires and between steel wire ropes and contact components such as pulleys and drums. For instance, some special coating treatments can form a lubricating film on the surface of the steel wire rope. This lubricating film can continuously play a lubricating role during the use of the steel wire rope and reduce the coefficient of friction. Good lubrication performance can reduce energy loss, lower the wear and fatigue of steel wires, and thereby extend the service life of steel wire ropes. In long-term operating lifting equipment, the service life of steel wire ropes treated with lubricating coatings can be extended by 1 to 2 times compared to ordinary steel wire ropes. |
